Gantock Rocks

The Gantock Rocks offer good scenic diving suitable for all levels with gently sloping sea bed to 35m. You will find squat lobster, some conger and the usual crabs etc. You may even be lucky enough to get a dive with one of the many seals that inhabit the rocks; watch your fins.

Little Cumbrae

There are a variety of excellent drop-offs around Little Cumbrae Island from walls, which bottom out at 50m, to sandstone ledges which gently level out at 30m. Sea life is abundant in summer, lots of wrasse, edible crabs and scallops will make all your drift dives in this area interesting ones.

Lochs & Piers

There are many unused piers along the length of the Clyde estuary that remind us of the rivers former bustle. The Trips "DOON THE WATER", from Glasgow to the coastal towns of Dunoon and Innellan are sadly limited these days. However lots of bottles and crockery are now found in these shallow waters near the old piers. We have even come across a medicine dispenser or rather what we thought was a strange looking glass jar!! The Lochs that run into the estuary also have piers, which too are almost forgotten. Two of the better ones are at Blairmore on Loch Long and at Carrick on Loch Goil.

Dare we mention "Conger Alley" at the head of Loch Long .... as seen on T.V.

Wemyss Bay

The disused sewer pipe at Wemyss bay lies in 6-34m and is covered in anemomies and marine life.
